Symantec Norton AntiVirus 2001
I think Symantec Norton AntiVirus 2001 is incompatible with Windows XP.

Is it rally so.

No, Norton will work fine with XP but (I think) you do need a specific update from Symantec in order to make it work. Here's what Microsoft says...

Symantec Norton Anti-Virus 2001 Is Not Compatible with Windows XP
