Turn off low disk space notification

To turn off the low disk space notification, which cannot be done through the XP GUI,

open up the Registry Editor (regedit.exe) and navigate to the following location:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ Explorer

Add a Dword Value called NoLowDiskSpaceChecks and set the Data Value to 1 to turn it off.

This change requires a log off or reboot to work.

I have already given a link to one of my utilities which can do this among many other tasks.

Thanks for the tip, have made. I knew there was some registry tip which could be used to remove this annoying low disk space bubble, but did not have the patience to search it.

I actually like this feature. Its something I miss when using Windows 2000.

I tend to clog my disk up so I like knowing when its almost full as I often forget to check.

Is this a good thing for us to know? My computer crashed from being full. I don't know if I want to turn the low disk notifcations off. I'll mess around and get a shock.
