Vista - How to add an application to the "Quick Launch Bar"

The Quick Launch Bar (or menu) is and excellent feature allowing you to open programs with a single click.

In case you're wondering, the Quick Launch Bar is the same series of lil icons found to the right of the start button.

On non-Vista Windows you can only drag and drop the application's icon onto the menu bar. However, in Vista you can also right click on the application icon and then choose "Add to Quick Launch." If that seems like too many steps you can still do the ol' drag 'n' drop onto the Quick Launch Bar.

Quick launch is best alternative if you want your desktop clean but too many icons in quick launch menu makes it slow to show everything. I store all desktop shortcuts in a single folder & arrange by subfolders like shortcuts to image based softwares in 1 folder. So this also makes desktop clean as 1 folder has everything.

I always prefer to use this cool feature of windows vista to save the space on the desktop.I store some useful and frequently used softwares to save my time on finding the application.

Everyone must try this feature because it saves your time as well as it saves time while booting the operating system!
