Windows Explorer crashes

hey all i have a interesting problem. when i goto open a folder with videos in it and the computer tries to load the preview of the movie my windows explorer crashes. can anyone help me solve this problem?

I've had this type of thing happen twice, and both times it was due to one "bad" movie in the folder.

What I had to do whas to keep removing movies from the folder until I found out which movie was killing IE. I then deleted that movie.

Yes, no data file should be able to crash an application -- but Microsoft has a long history of producing poor code.
