Question Windows XP - Windows XP POST-re-install Issue.

I just re-installed my Windows XP and get a notice when entering the OS telling me to register the OS. When I click on the button it'll then say the software is already registered. Can anyone help?

Oh and another quick question, is there a website that explains what each program is in Task Manger?

Thank you in advance,-Brian

If you have any Windows XP or Vista issues feel free to send me a Private message or an E-mail me directly. I have above average knowledge and experience with primarily Windows XP or Vista issues. If I don't off hand know the answer I will research it to further my competency in the program.

Re-registering the registered... that's a new one for me. Hmm!

As for the task manager info... if you google "task manager list" you're going to get a few sites that will identify each item for you. If the item in your task manager isn't found on any list then just google it. That's how you'll find out what it is.

I am not even sure if that's possible. May I ask why you have re-installed? Also why do you want to re-register something that is already registered?

I don't want to re-register, but the OS is asking me to. I got the blue screen of death and was forced to re-install the OS, that's why I reinstalled it in the first place. Any ideas?

Oh I see. I am not sure what you can do if it's saying it's already registered. Maybe contact the company. They should have some method of contact in which they can give support.
