XP Pro 64bit NFR

I just called #9 Software, hoping to clarify exactly what an offer that they have is. The person that I spoke to on the phone, said that it is a full version, but when I asked if it was an OEM, she said no, that it was an NFR, meaning Not For Resale. When I asked exactly what this meant, she couldn't give me an answer. I asked if it was an evaluation copy, like one that I have, which is time limited for 6 months, and has to be reinstalled, she said that it was not. She suggested that I check at Microsoft.com, and said that I could get the information there. But, I looked everywhere that I could think of, and found nothing about this version, or even the OEM. This NFR is about $55.00 cheaper than the OEM that I can buy locally, which would make it appear that there must be a signifcant difference of some kind. Does anyone understand what this is about, or can you give me a link to an exact location with the information?

Hey cheap,

Okay... that is a weird situation!

If an item is Not For Resale that means the original buyer is not permitted to resell it which in this case is #9 Software. Right??

Ya know, I'd call them back and see if you can talk to someone else! lol Maybe this gal was correct (albeit confusing) or maybe she doesn't have all her facts straight! I'd be curious to hear kind of "second opinion" you get!

Lyte

And for anyone curious this is the link to the trial version of XP Pro 64. It's good for 120 days.
