Your OS?

OK, this is a poll where everyone can vote for their favorite operating system. Please try to reply to this thread after you vote (maybe telling your previous OS and how you get the present one).

I got Windows ME when I first bought my computer. However, I loved the way Windows XP looks and decided to upgrade it. That's a big revolution, from FAT32 to NTFS file systems, new savvy interface and the new task manager is indeed very useful. But now I heard that Windows Vista is coming out this year, and I will look how well it goes for several months before upgrading to that. How about you?

I'm currently using windows XP professional, but I'm going to change to linux soon as it doesn't take as much CPU as XP does.

Regards, Blade1941.

I've only ever known Windows and now have XP so I voted for that.

I agree with Dave that's it's a bloated, memory hungry piece of software. It's kind of like the Swiss Army knife of computers! Yeah, it does dang near everything but it's not as sleek and compact as each component on it's own.

Hi to All

I use mainly Windows XP as there are most applications and progs. Also I started with FreeBSD and its really faster and stable but in my opinion it is not so easy to handle as the manuals and all aplications are not so good tested and have bugs!Linux is also a good choise!Of course the future is in Open Source OSs!

Have comps with DOS 3.1 lol, Windows 95, and one with just windows XP as well. My main comp has a dual boot with Fedora Core 3(linux) and Windows XP.
@Cheapquality- who are you comparing firewalling technology to with XP? Every OS?
