Anyone use TrueCrypt?

It is an opensource encryption program that works in Windows. I have been using it for over a year and really like it. I have an external drive that is entirely encrypted, and I have some internal folders that can be mounted as encrypted drives as well.

True Crypt

Even if you do not feel like you have anything you necessarily need to encrypt, it is fun to play around with, and it is very secure and stable.

I worry about using these types of programs.
Is there anywhere you could get stuck and not be able to decrypt the files?

Any good encryption program will have that risk.

Any encryption program with a backdoor to reduce or prevent that risk is not a good encryption program.

I have a 5GB PCMCIA HD that's encrypted with PGPDisk. I've forgotten the passphrase. Oooopppssss... ops:

Very true that.
Thats why you need to be careful that you dont lose things.
If its worth encrypting in the first place, then its worth keeping your eye on at all times!
