Rep Power: 0  | Which Database do you prefer? In the last few months there is so much going on in the Database Developement that it is difficult to say what will happen in near future. I want to ask you to share your work experience and ideas for the different Databases.Which one do you prefer?
Oracle
MS Microsoft Server 2005

Rep Power: 0  | I have used only the "common" MySQL databases. I don't know how to work on others and since I have to use forums, CMS or shopping carts running on php/MySQL I didn't have the time or willingness to try something else.

Rep Power: 2  | For paid I prefer Oracle. It is the fastest on the market.
For free I like mysql.

Rep Power: 2  | Depends on for what purpose, sometimes in work I have to develop mini applications or web apps that access is suited for and much quicker to produce, other times if it is going to be used more intensively or is more business critical will use sql server |

Yeah... Oracle makes some very nice products! And, I hear their Service isn't so bad. I haven't had occasion to use them but I'd definitely give them a go!
