A local PC tech introduced me to what I consider a "magical" software utility called EAZ-FIX.
It takes "snapshots" of your entire system that you can instantly restore with the press of a button. How many? Like a million or some nonsense. And it's not like Norton Ghost or that nonsense that takes up massive amounts of disk space.
It's pretty cool... he did some work on my laptop (upgrades) and as a thank you for so much business over the years, installed EAZ-Fix on it for me withough telling me. No, not a BAD thing.... or so I thought. LOL!!!
When he returned it, he stood there while I started it up. Chest puffed out, Mr. Proud stood there while Windows took like 10 minutes to load... kept stalling on virtually every adware, aol, IM, long sound file, tons of startup programs, etc... After the first 3 minutes I was ready to
stick a hot poker IN HIS EYE!!!
I was trying to be polite but I honestly thought my Laptop was destroyed. Finally, I turned to see him practically falling on the ground laughing at me. He couldn't believe I had held my tounge as long as I had.
"See, isn't it great!" He laughed. "No... No it isn't" I replied in a restrained tone. "I loaded EVERYONG I could find on your laptop for you." He continues... "to show you this"
He hits a couple of keys, up pops a screen with a Snap-Shot of a world before hot pokers in the eye and bammo...
He turns back the clock.
My Laptop restars, all my programs are back in a flash. No hangs, no slops, no drips, no errors. AMAZING!
After a moment of silence I noticed my wife laughing too... she was in on the gag.
The red mist had lifted and I had just been through the best demonstation of a system saving software program that I had EVER seen.
Needless to say, it's on all my machines now and I routinely take snapshots.
Because now,
I can delete entire programs with reckless abandon. Load that game that will only play if Office is completley uninstalled, delete my most important files and when all heck has thoroughly broke loose... hit that magic buttong and BAMMO!!!!
I get to be the magician that turns back the clock.
I can't say enough about this product and the security it's given me. His motto and PC Repair company is based on "Freedom From Fear" and I am now a fearless PC user.
If you'd like to ask him questions or check out his software, you can see it at
