This is very annoying.
Historically, IBM manuals have been excellent. You could find pretty much anything in the
Hardware Maintenance Manual or the
Service and Troubleshooting Guide.
Unfortunately, this is not the case in this example. The information you need may be in the
Access Help Application.

To download the
Access Help Application, you will need to enter your Machine Type and Model.
The Machine Type is a 4 character value. The model is a 3 character value. Both will be printed on the bottom of the ThinkPad.
Unfortunately, it is impossible to guarantee that the information you are seeking will be in the
Access Help Application.
