max. RAM????


hi all,

can any one tell me the max. amount of ram size supported by windows( also the server editions and advanced server) and what exactly are /3GB and /PAE and how does that work.

Please... i went though the microsoft documents but it kind of tossed over me...!!!

The /3GB switch lets some applications use an extra gigabtye of virtual memory.

The /PAE switch enables some 32-bit processors to utilize more than 32GB of RAM.
