Printing on Index Cards with Word

Hello,
How would I print on 5x8 index cards in Word? My English teacher is making us do bookcards where we have to write all this literary analysis on index cards, but I don't know how to print them out from Word? Is there a preset index card mode or something?

There is a preset for index cards.

Go to page setup and then select the paper tab. On there you'll see a pull down menu and you can select your paper type. Index cards are on the list.

Will the layout on Word still appear as regular sheets of paper? Or will the main layout that Word has shrink?

The margins in your work area will change and then you can go to print preview and you'll see what it will look like printed on the card.

I thought I knew everything about MS Word, but that's one I didn't know, and it's so easy. I've only printed out envelopes and regular items, such as photographs, etc., but this was a great tip; very useful. Thanks!

You should go under the "Help" menu in windows. I'm sure that it will give you a tutorial on printing to index cards. There should also be tutorials on printing on envelopes.

Actually, I did just that and went to my help section, and it explained it in detail, so I tried it, and it worked just great. I cannot learn enough about MS Word, as my job counts on it. Thanks for the information.
