Will, my good friend and the only person that answers my few questions, would that really make a diffrence? im using rar password recoyer right now and at its fastest it does 16 w/per second and what i keep the settings at is background prioretty and it does like 14 or 15. but it still has it that it will take 4years or so, and i know i can take things out and shorten the digits. is there anyway to get open 2 of the same program and have them run at the same time?

lets say it take 4 days to complete the run, can i have the program opened at the same time checking half in one and half in the other so it would only take 2 days? or more then 2 times, closer to 3 or 4 maybe? some program or code that will let me do this?

That would work, if you could run it on two computers simultaneously.

You could try half the possibilities on one PC and the other half of the possibilities on the second PC.

you mean like a brute forcer. I heard they take weeks to finish not years. Anyways if you really want to get access somewhere you should try social engineering and hacking. though i don't know much about hacking, it would probably be easier to learn during those 4 years than waiting.

LOL

I tried an experiment before to break a known passwor using brute force. Even though thousands of passwords were tested each second, you will never break any password over 7 or 8 digits. The combinations are simply too many. Add to that the fact that every extra digit adds exponentially to the number or combinations.

Example: A simply 6 digit password using ONLY lowercase characters has 230230 combinations... a 7 digit has 657800... an 8 digit has 1562275.
Now if you added upper and lowercase for the same 6, 7, and 8 digits, you get 20358520, 133784560, and 752538150 respectfully...
Now consider all the special characters that could be used...
