Registering Java Applications

i want to know how to register my stand-alone java application in xp so that it cannot be copied and installed in another pc ? where can i store hashed passwords safely in the registry?

It doesn't seem that this would provide much protection.

The data you store in the Windows Registry could simply be copied from the first PC to the second PC.

Copy protection on PC's has a long history of failure.
