Don't you hate when someone sends you an email with a zillion other people cc'ed on it and when you should just hit
Reply you hit
Reply All by mistake? And don't you hate even more when you realize that you've just sent either personal info or something .. well... kinda ... snotty... to way more people than you intended?! Eeek! So, if you should have ever made such a mistake well here's a way for you to get a second chance at that email before it heads out to God knows who!
Anyway, it's a lil feature in Outlook that delay/defer the sending of your emails for however long you choose. This will give you time enough to realize you just sent off something you shouldn't have and then make the appropriate changes!
Select
Rules and Alerts from drop down on the Tools menu, and then click on the
New Rule button.
Then select...
Start From Blank Rule as well as
Check Messages after Sending
Click the
Next button at which point a dialog box will pop up and ask you "
This rule will be applied to every message you send. Is this correct?" I think you'll wanna say "Yes!"
Then click
defer delivery by a number of minutes and right below you'll see a link which will allows you to select how many minutes you want your emails delayed!
When you click Next after selecting the number of minutes for the delay, you'll be given the option to name your rule. I named my rule
C.Y.A.!
