SIP traversal through firewall

Hello,

I have read from an article that using of SIP is a problem when end points are behind the firewall as SIP uses variable UDP ports. Is there solution for making SIP messages to traverse through the firewall?

Thanks in advance

with regards

Yes, there are.

Any reasonably modern firewall will be SIP-aware.

Read SIP, NAT, and Firewalls from May of 2000.
