| Speed up Boot Most modern system BIOS's have a plethora of options which can be manipulated to improve your PC's boot speed.
Here are a few options which may help your computer boot faster: Boot Device Order
Set your hard drive to be the first boot device. If your PC tries to boot from DVD, CD, or floppy before trying to boot from the hard disk, booting will take longer. Quick Power On Self Test
Enabling this option will reduce the number of hardware diagnostics which the system runs each time it boots. These diagnostics are fairly simplistic and can be disabled. Boot Up Floppy Seek
This tests your floppy drive on system boot. This can be disabled with no negative consequences. |
