SYSTEM processes are run by User

I've found an unusual case in one of my frnd's pc. In his pc [ running on Windows XP sp2] processes like services.exe,lsass.exe are not run by SYSTEM [which is usually in our pc] but run by his own user name [ say his name john.... then these processes are belong to john]

I think this is due to a virus/trojan.

If you ppl know abt this, then inform me. I need you help.

I know from a friend that lsass.exe could be a virus. He had it but he didn't specify where it came from.
