Time to Get Serious About Backup

I always laugh when the main stream media covers technology topics.

FoxNews just did an article titled Time to Get Serious About Backup.

It's a good reminder for all of us.

How long has it been since your last backup?

Good article. We should backup more. I suggest using DVDs or a webserver, because they are both cheap and effective.

Ah, but DVD's are so small and I have so much data.

Right now, I am backing up to a USB 2.0 external hard drive.

Not too far in the future, I will upgrade to an eSATA drive.

External drives are good, if a bit expensive.

I'm not up with what eSata is. I'm assuming it stands for external SATA

Al though my computer has crashed a lot, I don't back up my information as much as I should. If a virus were to hit my computer tonight, everything I have would be lost.

If that happened to me, I would cry like a little girl.

Backup...? What's that? ops:

I really should be better at that, too. I think I would be completely lost in life if I lost everything on my computer.
