There is not enough data yet to make a good call as to what the problem could be.
Switching a file system to NTFS should
not cause your computer to lock up.
I almost hate to say this, but I would try it again. Perhaps Partition Magic screwed something up. You can also use the tools built into Windows to
convert FAT32 to NTFS.
