Word Perfect vs. Microsoft Word

Does anyone even use Word Perfect anymore?! It came with this Dell that I have and I just can get use it! Ugh!!! The last time I used WP I was probably 18 years old and working at my first job. I won't say how long ago that was but it was a while! LOL :p

Does anyone like Word Perfect over Microsoft Word??

history

wordperfect was made as a competitor to word to package with the lotus suite, to compete with the ms office bundle. Supposedly quattro/paradox/act was as good as access but please.

any text manipulation attritbutes wp had over word in the beginnign vanished long ago. Used in law offices for legal document line transcribing, etc. But if either software had really had their eye on the monay they would have furnished a screenplay formatting option. But they didn't thus paving the way for companies like finaldraft & etc.

the congruence of wp to word in look and feel due to windows friendly upgrades thru the versions has made it an ok tool, but why have to use filters or such when going thru whatever engine your doc will finally execute at, which will mostly be Word? Why lose formatting pagination or other errors?

Geez, I didn't even know they still made Word Perfect! I guess I use either WordPad or Word these days.. I don't do much in the way of "power" word processing anyway..

Perfect is anything but. It's not as easy to work with as Word.

I don't see why anyone would use WordPerfect. Micrsoft Word is the best word app. anywhere. Even on a mac it is still the best. Thats one place you just can;t be Microsoft.

So, buyer beware... that when you buy one of those inexpensive Dell's you're going to get Perfect and Lotus. Gak! LOL :p

Microsoft Word is so much better the Word Perfect. Microsoft Word has alot more features and is alot easyer to use then any other word program I have used. It is very much worth the money to buy. I just got a new computer and it didn't take long before I put Microsoft Word on it. I did not want the headace and all the problems with other word programs.

I'd used word perfect when I'm in high school. It is nothing compared to Word. I'm familiar with Word so I'm voting for Word.

I used Lotus suite for about 6 months or so when I got my IBM. It's not bad, just I preferred Word or OpenOffice.
