Problem getting internet with Linksys Router setup

I'm working with a Linksys 2.4 Ghz Wireless-G Broadband Router with 4-port switch (model WRT54G) This computer is connected via Ethernet to the Router.. where the router in turn is connected to the cable modem via the internet ports. I have installed the Adapter card into a machine in another room and have installed the card following the instructions (setup first.. then install the card..reboot) The wireless connection is showing in the Network Connections and seems to be getting a signal (about 60% signal strength) but sometimes changes to "cannot associate with access point" while othertimes in the Linksys manager it shows the router is connected but the image of the internet is still greyed out. Any idea what's going on?

'ya lost me. When you do have signal, can you get on the Internet?

That is to say, is this an RF issue -- or are there other issues?

When you say "There are 3 icons that light up", where are you seeing these icons?

Are you using Microsoft Windows to configure your wireless network card, or are you using proprietary software provided by the hardware vendor?

Have you configured the SSID on the PC to be the same as the SSID you configured in the wireless router?

Are you using WEP? Have you configured the WEP key on the PC to be the same as the WEP key you configured in the wireless router?

What other configuration options did you set on the wireless router? What other configuration options did you set on the wireless NIC in the PC?
