eWeek has published a very interesting article titled
Business Value is Key which compares the perceived business value of a range of emerging IT investments.
VoIP ranked pretty well, which is pleasantly surprising for a technology which is so difficult to implement in large enterprise environments. 32% of respondents stated that VoIP had exceeded their expecations for business value, while only 6% said that VoIP had failed to meet their expectations for business value.
BlueTooth, on the other hand, only exceeded expectations 13% of the time and failed to meet expectations 19% of the time.
