Donating blood.... phew!
So, I went today to donate blood, for the first time ever, and nearly passed out! LOL Apparently, I didn't eat or drink enough prior to the blood letting and just as the machine was taking it's last "drink" I got all woozy... NOT a pleasent feeling.

Anyone else donate blood or plasma??

haha . I haven't given blood yet since I am only 16. Been with a few friends on the baseball team though and practice about killed them. Better luck with that next time

Congratulations, Lyte! That's enough to make anyone scared. XD It's admirable that you did it!

I'd love to give blood, but I can't. I take a medication that prevents me from being able to do so. The last thing an injured person needs is unneeded meds in their bloodstream! It's a shame, though. I had a lot of blood tests done when I was younger, so I'm not afraid of needles at all. Every time I see a Red Cross blood drive, I feel bad.

Here's an embarrassing update... :p

I went again last week and was determined not to get woozy again, so I drank a WHOLE bunch the night before and in the morning before donating. Well... they start drawing blood and within the first 15 minutes of a 45 minute process, I gotta go to bathroom! Ugh!!! I tried to tough it out but there was just no way! :eek: So, I ended up donating only 2/3 of what I should have cuz I had to piddle! LOL :rolleyes:
