PC CafeCome on in and say hello! Hava cup o' coffee... or tea if you prefer! We like seeing new faces! This forum is for getting to know one another and for topics unrelated to the PC/Tech world.
There's an old online software network called Mplayer (I think). It allowed people to play games, and talk, and type to one another at teh same time. It was way more advanced than yahoo games. Is that still around?
I've never heard about something called MPlayer, but I did some searching on Google, and it seems like it was bought by Gamespy. http://www.geek.com/news/geeknews/20...1221003458.htm
I don't know if Gamespy offers the program, though.
EVerything is bought by gamespy these days :P
I used to like the gamespy site, but now they think they can charge people just to use the site, its stupid.
Hubby won't be too happy about hearing that. He was just asking about that the other day. He was an avid visitor, so when I tell him this, he won't be happy at all. Thanks for the info.
These sites can charge a fee because they provide superior services which people are willing to pay for.
I say good on them for coming up with a successful business model!
