Secret Ringtone

This "Secret Ringtone" or "Mosquito Ringtone" is a ringtone which is recorded above 15Khz.

The cool thing about this ringtone is that most adults can't hear sound above 15Khz -- but kids can.

People lose their ability to hear high-pitched sounds as they get older.

You can use this ringtone at school and the teachers will never hear your phone ring!

When turned up, this is AMAZINGLY annoying...

It's almost like someone's using a weapon against me to get out of their store so I don't steal things and make a scene. Oh, wait, the stupid British already do that! ;-)

That's what my wife said when I played the tone.

I'm old, so all I said was "What tone? Is it working?"

LOL

Cell phones should be banned in schools. School is a place of learning, not a place to text message and yak on the phone. Just my humble opinion... But what do I know... I'm old...

The procedures to copy a ringtone to your phone differ with each mobile carrier and with each phone model.

What model of phone do you have and who do you have cell service through?

The ringtone above is in MP3 format. On most new phones, you can just copy that file over using the phones data cable. On most PDA phones, you can copy it onto the phones data card (SDCard, etc..)

With some other phones and networks, you can e-mail it to the phone.

Awesome, I was able to hear. I agree it does get pretty annoying after a few seconds. My parents were over when I had tested it; they could only hear it very faintly. However, it made my Scottish terrier go crazy; poor thing, dogs seem to be quite sensitive to high pitches.
