I lived in Plains, TX as a kid.. not far from Brownsville.

We've been in TX 'bout 4 year and it's alright. The only thing I dislike is the heat and humidity. Ugh!

I'm more of a Cali mild sun and surf girl!

Where I lived in Texas, there was no grass anywhere, unless you had it shipped in! Red dust coated everything.. only 1100 people in that town 40 years ago and about the same today.

I like Missouri, but miss living near the ocean or a big (read: natural) lake. All the lakes in this section of the country are pretty much man-made. I like something I can't see across to the other side, thanks!

And yes, the humidity here can get pretty unbearable in the summer!
