Weird! How do you know it was Micro Trend? I've never heard of that happening before.

Thanks for the heads up!

I recall that post! Odd, I thought I had responded to it. What company in their right mind would block all access to the internet. If nothing else, it keeps you from buying the other junk they offer. Anyway...

Over heating the CPU sounds like a very serious problem. One can turn off firewalls (usually) but if someone didn't monitor their CPU's temp they could really be screwed!

Lyte

EDIT: tcm, what CPU do you have?

Well its simple to know which application is eating up ur CPU! just press CTRL+ALT+Delete and then press the tab Processes and under the coloumn of the CPU there will be how much each and every process is using CPU and there was this process TMAS.exe and that was the Trend-Micro AntiSpyware!

Lythe: as a CPU I have 3.01Ghz CPU and as for Jordan I think yes Trend-Micro is a company to stay away from! I even had their antivirus (2004) Well its better without it!! lol

P.S. Hiya Jordan dont worry I will still be active in ur forum Jordan lol!

I still remember when Norton and McAfee was still sort of "new". If you had their anti-virus software your computer was running hot meaning that most resources would be consumbed by their product. They have gotten a lot better though. I guess Trend is going through that phase....

What version are they on?

I consider large applications like that "new" until they do business for several years. Not neccessary "new" as in version 1.0.

hmm, not much of a difference at all. I wonder how long they have each been doing anti-virus software though.

It looks like Trend needs to hire a new programming staff.

Oh yeah... derrr! lol

I tried and Google some phrases that might bring up more reports of this problem but didn't find any. I'm going to search again.
