some say that it is illegal to use it coz it's for china residents.......
but one thing is kaspersky antivirus is resource hog and since i am having just 256 MB of RAM  ,avast is a better alternative to me..  |

Rep Power: 1  | Why have this for one year free, when you can have AVG forever for free? Also someone here said it may be illegal, so it's not worth trusting in my opinion.

Rep Power: 2  | IMO, Kaspersky is superior to AVG. However, AVG is good for the price, as is Avast and a couple others. Having said that, on the Internet you don't always get what you pay for, and as long as we have choices, there will be differences of opinion. I believe there is a thread already dedicated to AV preferences.

I just cannot see the point getting one that as rumored to be illegal when I have a pefectly working legal one.

| Yes, free...I did know that. It is not bad for free, as I mentioned, as well as a couple others. I prefer to pay for a better quality product is all I meant.
and yes, I agree, no point in risking your system security for a shady POS.

and yes, I agree, no point in risking your system security for a shady POS. | I was just refering to the free options. I actually had a 2007 anti virus I never installed it. It cost a lot. However I guess it just went to waste.
