Free Virus protection download!

I found this great free virus protection from called AVAST! It's only for home additions, (you can pay for commercial) but this program found adware and viruses on my computer, from 1993, that my norton or my current virus protection didn't find when I ran a scan! Check it out www.avast.com

Cool!

My Dell came with McAfee but I think I'm going to swap it for Norton... and maybe this one you've mentioned. Ya can never have too much protection! LOL :p

I like Grisofts AVG Free Edition. It isn't a resource hog, works well and it free.

Yes, I've been reading some very good things about AVG and I 'bout 7 days from dropping my McAfee account. It came free with my Dell and all the pop ups are starting to annoy!

Also, something weird... McAfee has this auto download function and it's been trying to download something for the past few hours! It was hanging up the machine so I made it stop! LOL

Thanks for sharing! I might consider this when my virus protection subscription expires!

Hey,

Thanks for the link ..Lyte......but i got "AVAST" installed. It found 3 viruses on 1 of my PC's. AVG is good......don't get me wrong.......but you can do so much with "AVAST".
And AVAST doesn't hog up any resources like AVG does. AVAST can scan both "incomming & out-giong" mail. Protects your maching against malware scrippting found on some web sites.
