Hotbar and 180solutions Merge; Combined Evil Empire To Be Called Zango

180solutions and Hotbar announced an agreement to merge, effective immediately. The merged entiity will be known as Zango.

180solutions and Hotbar are manufacturers of adware and spyware.

The two purveyors of PC pestilence have now merged so that they can make annoying crap cheaper and more efficiently.

I have come across the 180 Search bar on more machines than I care to remember, and as far as I can remember the latest iterations are a pain the backside to remove.

What is worse, is that a lot of shareware and free software comes bundled with this crap, and many an unwitting user has installed a fantastic free application only to get lumbered with this crap which doesn't seem to understand the meaning of "Uninstall".

It's frustrating, but somehow companies such as these can abide by the law AND annoy a good 10% of the online community.

Yep. All of the bundled spyware is why I am no longer running KaZaA. emule is completely free of spyware and adware.
