Thumbs down Norton installing rootkits?????

This upsets me! It's just not right!!! I pay for security software and what do they do????? They install a rootkit along with their software.

I don't like any program installing things that become rooted on my computer ... after I laid down some big bucks for the product!!!!!!!!

Here is a google link where you can read several articles about this ... as well as Symantec's feeble attempt to apologize.

(A rootkit by any other name is still a rootkit!!!)
