Roboform

Howdy y'all

Has anyone tried this product... http://www.roboform.com/pcm.html Apparently, it fills in all your passwords/log in/ reg informtion for you. I have dozens and dozens of pass/log every day so it sounds like a God send... but, how safe is it?!

Currently, I keep all my info off my computer entirely... it gets kinda tedious!

Howdy Lyte,

I just got done checking out your link & did a "Google search" on Complaints + roboform.com.......some major complaints. I've e-mail PC Magazine for their view (because Roboform has a quote from PC Magazine on the right hand side) . I'll let everyone know as soon as I hear from them.

I keep all my "sensitive info" (including links & passwords) in Word or Notepad on a CD-R.....it's also in an "Encryption" form. That way.....no info on my PC & all info is on CD which I can add-on to at times.

With todays thiefs & hackers......I don't trust any software that has "sensitive info".

Just my @ cents worth

You can only get my passwords if you can read my mind . Got tons of them but I have a pretty decent memory.

Hey Doc,

Thanks for double checking!

I was just reading about this thing in PCMag and was intrigued! I don't usually go by reviews and prefer to go to the source... people who are using the software!

I have a lot of passwords to remember and most are several characters long with numbers and letters!

STORYTIME!!!
I think there are a bunch of password managers out there, just never tried any. Maybe look into sourceforge and take a peek.

The older I get the longer my passwords gets cuz I'm getting more and more paranoid! This is a bad thing cuz the older one gets the shorter the memory gets too!

Most of the free versions of those type apps contain adware at best (and spyware on the other end of the spectrum).

I know alot of people who do contest and sweepstakes use Roboform.. seen it mentioned on forums of that sort.

I don't use a password manager myself and use Google toolbar's Autofill for forms.. so I'm all set.
