i heard that ps3 is thinking about making games where they can only be played on 1 console. somthing about cd keys and all that. rumor has it that sony is losing money to game stop and their ability to buy and sell used games, this lets people buy games and sony does not get any money for this.this next part is only my speculations.{ if this is true then the ps3 will have to have an internet connection at all times so that the cd can register with sonys website and to that particular ps3. if it is not connected to the internet to verify the console, then the game will not play}. i dont know that is just my speculation, but none the less i dont think that this would be a wise move for sony. any way that is what i have heard.
yes but i think that that would make people just want to hack the cd codes... just like people do for software now. You can't make anything 100% hack proof... someone is gonna find a way to get in. that's just my thoughts.
I can't wait for the PS3, it sounds truly amazing. I have always been a fan of the Sony consoles as apposed to the xbox and the Nintendo consoles. Apparently the PS3 is much better than the other consoles and one of the highlights for me is that fact that the PSP can be used as an additional controller and screen.

Welcome to the green room ladies and gentleman
Well, I was waiting for my PS3 a few months ago.
Now i finally bought it to play games and watch some Blu-Ray Movies, I guess for me it was pretty much worth it!
I plan on getting the 40 GB playstation 3, looks like a pretty good offer. Although it lacks backwards compatibility that's not really the issue and I can upgrade the hard drive anytime I feel like it. From what I've heard, the system is definitely worth it, once I get my hd-tv my gaming setup will be awesome.
