Question about a game software program

My daughter has a software game, from knowledge learning center, and when she gets to the end of the game it's suppose to take her to a so called "camp Party", but when she clicks yes to go to the party, it locks up and the screen goes black. When we reload the software and try to go where we left off the screen freezes. Does anyone have any suggestions on what this could be? This cd is fine, we have enough memory. Our OS is Win2k pro. Dell Pent lll.
