First-Party Cookies are cookies from the web site you are surfing. Third-Party Cookies are cookies from other web sites that advertise on the web site you are surfing.

I usually enable first-party cookies because they are needed to make many web pages work properly.

I usually disable third-party cookies, because they are most often used for annoying advertising schemes.

For more information, please read What are browser cookies?

3rd party cookies I never trust, though I have all cookies ask me to install on each site.

3rd party cookies are otherwise known as spyware

I always have the browser prompt me for ALL cookies, then I can just decide which ones i want to install.

I block around 80% of cookies

wow! you have a lot of patience! In that case every site you browse might give you an option asking for permission, I feel the better way is to enable only 1st party cookies.
I have question here! Do the popups also leave some cookies on our machines?

Cookies

First-party cookies are important; however, third-party cookies should be cleaned regularly. They can remain for a long time, and if infected, can cause some deep trouble with your PC. I would never allow third-party cookies.

I have manual cookie settings turned on as I would rather be prompted when ANY cookies are being set.
I generally let 1st party cookies in and never let 3rd party in.
Saying that, I only let 1st party cookies to be set if the site needs a login/password - otherwise I block the cookie as it has no use for me.

That is true, and they are the only ones I will allow!

If I see no use for a cookie at all I will disable it as I feel they are just trying to collect information about me that they don't need.

first party cookies apply to the website you are visiting, third party cookies come from a seperate site. I wouldn't allow third party cookies and beware of the first party cookies you do allow.

Cookies are necessary for certain sites to work properly, and I have them enabled. You can always clear your cookies later though if you don't want them building up.

I do not enable 3rd party cookies, but I keep the 1st party ones still there in order for some websites to function properly.

I have all my cookies enabled, I think it is necessary in order for some sites to remember your information.
