Change the title of Internet Explorer

• Navigate to Start > Run and click on Run.
• In the input field, type "regedit" and then press enter.
• Navigate to the following key in the registry by clicking on the +'s next to the folders in the left pane (see picture below).
• HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftInternet ExplorerMain
• Right-click a blank space in the right-hand pane and go to New > String.
• Name the new String "Window Title".
• Double click the new String.
• For the value, enter what you want the title to be and then press enter.
Close regedit.

I'm not sure exactly what this does, it changes the name of Internet Explorer or the title of the web page being displayed?

I have developed this application long ago, which i couldnt extend due to the loss of source code in a hdd crash. Try it out.Its a collection of 33 cool tweaks. It needs .NET Framework 1.1 installed on your machine to run.

http://rapidshare.de/files/7980326/RegPlay.msi.html

Except one or two all the tweaks works well.
Hey Rob check out the change internet explorer titlebar. its there in this utility. You need not modify registry yourself

Ok, first, I suggest you remove IE from your computer! It's no good! I suggest Mozilla Firefox as a replacement. it's faster, automatically blocks those pesky pop-ups and has a better downloading system

You cannot just remove IE.

People shouldn't anyway; there is nothing wrong with having two or more browsers on a PC.

IE is too tightly integrated with Windows to even think about trying to fiddle around removing it.

Even though I am using Firefox more and more lately, I still keep Internet Explorer around for compatibility purposes. Some websites will not display properly for me in Firefox.

Nah, not too useful just to change the title of the browser window.

I think changing the title of IE is pretty useless.
