Clearing history in Firefox?

I know how to clear the history in IE but how do you do it in Firefox?

I must be blind but I cannot see the option anywhere... :shock:

I don't have Firefox loaded on this PC, but isn't it <Clear> an option under <Tools>, <Options>, <Privacy>, <History>?

Hi,
You can clear the history of Firefox this way.
Go to Tools->Options->Privacy.
Having gone there you can notice a History with a + that gets expanded when you click on it.You can specify the number of days the history should be stored and there is also a clear button available. Click on that to clear the history.
Hope this answers your questions.

John

Its a shame firefox dont make it easier to clear history for novice users, but once you know how to do it its simple.

Hit Ctrl+H then delete the individual days by right clicking on them and then selecting delete, or you could just highlight the day and hit your delete button if you wish.

Ooooh thanks for the information. It's kinda hard to switch from IE to Firefox because everything is so different, and located in odd places.

Actually, I went back to IE when some of my favorite websites weren't even showing up. I do miss all the features of Firefox that I liked, though (tabs and built in pop up blocker).

I couldn't live without Tabs now.

I think IE7 is going to have tabbed browsing; I guess they are copying Firefox with that one.

But didn't Firefox copy Opera on tabbed browsing? :lol:

I always keep my history clean every few months, it tends to take up a lot of room if I don't clear it.
