Rep Power: 7 | Internet Explorer 7. So, I just down loaded IE 7. and I gotta say... I'm not that happy with it!! It seems like it's trying TOO hard... too many bells, whistles and warnings! In fact, it may just make me switch to FireFox!
Anyone else try it yet?

Rep Power: 0 | FireFox Just installed FireFox and I like some of things like the tabs, but it has some downsides as far as plug-ins go. But I'll know more later.... Do you think it's worth trying IE 7.0? Thanks. |

Rep Power: 7 | Hey Havoc,
Welcome!
Well, I think most things are worth a try! The thing that bugs me with IE 7 is that everything is moved around and I'm contenstly getting pop up warnings. I've not yet figured out how to turn the darn things off!

In any IE....go to tools ....Internet Options.....Security....there are 2 buttons toward the bottom, press Custom Level....about 3/4 down, there is a Scripting under Scripting select : DISABLE ACTIVE SCRIPTING, this "option" should PREVENT "pop-ups" from appearing in most cases !!

Rep Power: 0 | I like IE7 - it is a huge improvement on IE6. They are finally getting into the millenium in regards to web browsing. Sure it's going to be a big learning curve for the Ma and Pa users - MS is a victim of its own success. |

Rep Power: 0 | I heard that the day of IE7's final release they had reports of numerous hacks. I'm not an IE user at all, they don't seem to understand the concept of "Standards", namely the ones set forth by the W3C. I use FireFox because it has a load of great add-ons and plug-ins that are useful for website design, marketing and testing. If I had my choice, I like the feel of Opera the best, but there just isn't enough support for it yet.
FireFox is on the move, but as of the last update, just about a week ago, there have been a few bugs that occur on both mine and my wife's computers. Namely, it will stop loading web some web pages, and continues to refuse access until FF has been exed out and restarted. |

#10 | | Guest | I have not upgraded to IE7 and from what I hear, I don't want to. Is anyone else stick with an older version of Explorer for the time being? | |

Rep Power: 7 | Hey mtatum,
Welcome!
I'm actually thinking about downgrading... going back down to IE 6. because there are features on this IE 7 I don't like.
And yes, I'm still working with FF now and then! I'm trying to get use to it! <--- have to say that for Firestorm.
