Megaupload Toolbar

Megaupload has changed their policy to country slot limitation. Now they assign a fix number of downloads for each country. They are also telling that if you need to download [ instead of country slot limitation] , then have to download and install megaupload toolbar.

I have observed that , megaupload toolbar has deep down relation with Alexa Toolbar [ I mean the whole alexa thing] , and as per Zone alarm Anti spyware suggestion, alexa is medium grade spyware threat which illegally passes your information.

now , if I need desperately to download that file from megaupload , is it too much risky to download and install megaupload toolbar ?

actually I just want to know that installing megaupload toolbar is safe or not !

First, create a system restore point.

Then, install the software you need to install to download your file.

Now, download your file.

Next, uninstall the untrusted software.

Do a system restore, only if necessary.

I think that the Alexa Toolbar has an unfairly bad reputation. Yes, it collects data and sends it to Alexa, but it is very honest about how and why it does that.

HEhehe... no, seriously.

The Alexa Toolbar doesn't identify individual users. It just sends the URL's that toolbar users visit back to Alexa to rank the web sites.
