Relationship between Google API stats and rankings

I was just checking Google API stats, and I was wondering if there is any correlation between Google API stats and rankings. More specifically, is there any correlation between number of pages indexed that Google API reports and Google rankings? Obviously it's better to have more pages indexed in Google, right? Doesn't it indicate something? Maybe it indicates that the site has a high PR?

Sure ...

Google allows you to access certain parts of Google's big search engine program. You can actually write a program to search using these. These are called Google API, Application Programming Interface. Does this help you directly? Not exactly, but you can write an application like this
