So, what's your connection speed?

Mine is 28.8k. No, really! Downloading stuff is awful, 3000 kb takes about 20-30 minutes. It's my location, it's very rural here. I mean like, nearest neighbor is a mile away rural. We have DSL downstairs, here's hoping we can get it networked soon!

fiber optics

well not to brag, but i have fiber optics, can down load at 15 meg a sec. yeah baby

here is a comparison. what i can down load in 10min. i would take your connection close to 2 months if it continued for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

i got a 1 mbps internet connection but yet my download average speed was only around 10kb - 50kb per second. I blame my ISP facilities and their neglacted to upgrade a better equipment.

FIOS???
If you are on cable and have been noticing slower connections, call your ISP, tell them to put you on a different list(don't wanna get too complicated). This means you will be sharing the connection with fewer users, resulting in a faster connection. I want fiber optics. They have it up at the college I'm applyin for . Go NC STATE!!!

I did get FIOS and I really like it! The only down side was that with FIOS comes a new type of phone connection through FIOS. This means if FIOS goes down my phone will run off a battery for a time.

My ISP offers that stuff to. I just got the cable package and not the phone.

512 I think. It's small, but I don't need to many things. I just have to upload some files from time to time (for the sites) small files, so I don't need such a huge traffic. And I can still aford pay this
