Rep Power: 0 | The World Fastest Browser Opera :-
It is the fastest browser in the world .. and damn easy to use. In this browser virus does not load with the sites... the transfer/ download is fast and it filters the files.... |

Rep Power: 3 | Good info. I tried Opera for a little while. I can't remember it that well though, it's been that long. I prefer Mozilla FireFox. Have you tried that one? What is better about Opera than Mozilla? |

Rep Power: 3 | I don't really think that any browser can be faster than another. Unless you are talking about load times and ease of use? |

Rep Power: 3 | How would you even go about benchmarking the fastness of a browser?
Recording time for each site to load?
It all varies
Site could have major load
you can always configure browser settings to make a site load faster
If you visit the site alot it will be on your Hard-disk so it would load faster from a specific browser a bit faster anyway |

Rep Power: 3 | I use to be IE only but then I started to use FF recently, tabs = great and I think it loads pages faster then IE, but thats because IE only shows pages when its completed loaded, FF loads the page as your viewing it.
Anyway I love FF now! |

Rep Power: 0 | Opera with the newest release offers everything FF has plus more.
For those of you that love tabbing, I know I do. Ever notice how FF gets a lot slower with a few tabs open? FF is known for that. Opera handles tabs ten times better. You can have tons more tabs open with Opera than FF.
Opera has mouse gestures...which I love. I use it so much.
Opera has plugins on their site like FF has.
With Opera you can download torrents without a third party program. Just use opera itself.
Widgets...
Etc.
The list is very long.
Opera is the fastest browser and you can measure the speed of a browser. That's very ignorant to think you can't, ahha.
Browsers vary in the speed they read and display code. They vary in the speed you can download, upload, tabs switching, etc. Speed is measured in many ways than just one.
Opera overall is number #1. If you do your correct research than you will know this also. Don't go to Firefox propaganda sites. Same goes for Opera, don't go to Opera propaganda sites either. Go to unbias sites that tell you the real information.

Rep Power: 0 | Although I'm likely to stick with FF (out of habit and love for it), I have to admit that I tried Opera a week or two ago and was astonished at the speed it loaded pages. It really was lightning fast. If I can find suitable plugins like the ones that are must-haves which I use now in FF, I might be tempted to switch.

Rep Power: 0 | it's only a matter of time before opera starts taking over more. People just need to stop knocking it down without actually trying it.
FF has created a cult somehow and they've done it well.

Rep Power: 3 | Opera IS the fastest and most secure. You can actually notice changes in speed compaired to other browsers sometimes.
Firefox is just as lame and trendy as IE. Not too secure either. Quote: |

One of the main advantages of Opera is that even if you close the browser with several tabs open, the next time when you open it you can view the pages. No pages will be lost!!!
Interesting isn't it? |

Interesting isn't it? | and the trash can...something I really miss if I have to use the net somewhere else with IE or firefox or something.
and the way it can be setup so you can use it almost entirely with the keyboard or with the mouse
and built in email, rss, irc (even though its rubbish) and bit torrent support (again quite rubbish) |

Rep Power: 0 | IE is opens faster that any other browser, because half of his modules are integrated into Windows core, so they’re loading when Windows starts.

As for Opera browser I know that it has some serious problems with most web chats and displaying some pages which contains many hard java scripts.
I prefer Maxthon (MyIE2) â addon for Internet Explorer. Itâs not very fast, but itâs very comfortable and correct displays most of pages in the web. It has some useful functions like blocking popup windows and useless banners. |

Webchats? That's irc for n00bs, get a proper irc client (or use the one built in to opera maybe....) forget all that java rubbish |
