backup

i need to know how to backup i never did it but please let me know how to do since i own a forum now opening another website so i need to know this anyway
as i know their are two methods form even cpanel but i didnt doen tose two methods also
please give some good details with explainations

Backing up a forum is very easy! You just go to your cpanel and find the Backup icon under Site Management Tools. And then you can choose between doing a back up of just the days changes OR do a full back up, which is everything. I go for a fullback up each time. From there, you can FTP the file to your home computer or just leave it in the home directory of your site.

thanks i did a full backup but i want o delete that backup from cpanel because to decrease some space so how can i do this

you can login to ftp and delete it or you can use the delete backup option on the cpanel backup screen, or you can use the cpanel file manager to remove it.

thanks for your reply i had removed it by using FTP i tried through the cpanel but i am unable sure how to use and delete this backup

you could have gone into the file manager, clicked on the back up then in the top right hand corner, hit the delete button on it

You may want to learn how to backup database only. You can use backup tool that comes with your control panel, but in many cases, you do not need to backup the entire data created using the control panel. The following is a good article to read:
