Best CMS used for simple content websites?

Hello,
I've been currently writing articles in Word about a certain subject, and I'm about to publish it on the web. What CMS would be best for a simple content website with around 50-60 articles? Also, I would really, really like the most Search Engine Optimization-friendly CMS you could find. I've seen people using Wordpress as a content site, has anybody here tried out, and how's that working out? Remember, SEO-friendly is the most important thing almost.

WordPress is good, I like it. It's not very Search Engine Optimization friendly but I don't think it'd be hard to make it that way. I setup Xoops recently and it's not SEO friendly, unfortunately. I've heard great things about Mambo.

Sorry I'm not more help!

I've been eyeing Wordpress very carefully, but I still can't decide what CMS to choose. I've come across another one called ModX that I'm about to experiment with, but Wordpress is in one of my top two choices. I used to use Textpattern, and I loved the customization you can do with it. Wordpress has a harder method of creating templates.

How about Drupal?
It depends what you need, if you want user logins etc though, then you cant go past Drupal.

Wordpress is great if you just want a blog-type website, but you need something bigger for a more complex site.

Well, it will just be a basic site to hold all of my articles. No user database, I would just like an easy and simple way to store all my articles and categorize them in a simple way. It's hard to gain control of fifty articles so I wanted to imploy a CMS to help me be organized.

In that case wordpress is best!
So easy to use, my only problem is trying to make it look different to all the other blogs out there.

You could pay someone to design a custom template for you, its worth it.
