Blogging help !

Well I have a blog in wordpress. I want to customize it in various ways. i have seen many interesting features from various web sites in blog side bar or side text widgets . I am interested to know about this widget features more . do you have any service or sites which I can put on my side bar widgets. do you have custom header image resource ?

any kind of help in blogging is appreciated . Its the place the for sharing knowledge for bloggers !!

One little problem. You know that , Wordpress has 2 services . 1 is Wordpress.com which provides free blogs hosted in their server . Another is wordpress.org which provides free wordpress blogging software . Many blogger install this software in their host. basically you gave me the link which actually provides help for wordpress.org software customization.

wordpress.com has very little customization option

It would be better for me to get some help in wordpress.com free blog customization. I would go for wordpress.org software inmy host soon . but my httpd is corrupted . I have to fix that first ....

Actually, my only real complaint with WordPress.com is when people use it with wordpress.com subdomains instead of registering their own domain names and building the values of those domains.

Which WordPress.com theme are you using? Does it have the Sidebar Editor?

I'm spoiled, I code my own HTML by hand. My pages are ugly, but they are exactly the ugly that I want.

I am using ChaoticSoul Theme. Its OK with me. I loved the theme "tarski" a lot , but my bad luck , that theme has a pretty much huge bug, so I had to shift.

Anyway , do you people have any site which provides custom header image ?

Wordpress.com does not support Google AdSense. So I cant made money

Infact it does not support any <script> or <embed> tag. Thats why I cant even put the "time" html code provided by some sites ( world time provider). I have just put a html code in side bar widgets for Where are visitors from.

Anyway, this is my site. Please don't consider this is a ad. I just want your comment about this blog. What settings and available service could make it more attractive.

Seriously, seriously, seriously, fix your Apache and host your own Wordpress.

Not because of the limited customizability of Wordpress.com.

Not just because of Wordpress.com doesn't allow you to run AdSense (etc...) to monetize your content.

Mostly because you are currently building inbound links to serialkiller.wordpress.com instead of to a domain that you legally own. Long term, that is a terrible thing. Inbound links are incredibly valuable and you should build them for yourself.

Build your web empire on a solid foundation.
