Does Yahoo still check if a target keyword is on page?

Yahoo never ranked a page for a keyword if the page did not have that keyword on the page previously. Does Yahoo still do this?

Yahoo recently made changes, but I'm not quite sure what exactly Yahoo changed. I'm still figuring this out ...

Huh, that's odd to me. That they never looked for keywords? I wonder how else they would know where to rank a site in their search.

Yahoo did quite the opposite previously. For example, if you look for "webmaster forum", Yahoo only returned pages that actually have "webmaster forum", that keyword. I'm not so sure if new Yahoo does this. It seems that new Yahoo still puts a very strong emphasis, but I'm not 100% sure if this is a must ...
