Hey,
Just got volunteered to help/maintain a phpBB forum and haven't ever really had to do this before. On fresh ground here. Right now anyone can post as a guest or as a member. I want to change it to where guests cannot post b/c we are getting a lot of comments that nobody wants to claim and I don't want to have to track IP's and all that. Any info is appreciated!

its been a long time since I used phpbb, but if memory servs correctly, login to the admin panel, then edit the forums, there should be an option to change from public to members only, you will have to do this per forum (topic) on the board.

You can find that thing under the "permissions" link in phpBB admin panel. You will use registered (as main setup) and that will mean all people can see, only registered can post

if you want guests NOT to view use registered(hidden). I would recommend against it though, better have more content show to search engines and visitors.
