I think that before you can begin to design and build a website you need a really great idea. If you don't have something that will intrigue and fascinate people, then no matter how much work you put into it, you will never succeed.

I think you could be right there Timmy! Either you have to come up with something new and different or it has to be a very different slant on something current! AND, you have to develop that new slant double quick before your competition sees it and just adds it to whatever they're already doing!

Exactly!
There has to be something different about your site that will make people want to visit. You may consider your site to be great, but if it doesn't have something that appeals to people, it won't become successful.

And another hard thing to do is to judge when your site is successful...
